Serving Framingham Since 1978
And here for you today!

We believe that the church is more than a building or a weekly gathering—it is a family. At South Middlesex Baptist Church, you’ll find the same values that make a healthy family special: love, belonging, encouragement, honesty, support, and a commitment to one another. We're a church family where people can know and be known, serve and be served, grow together, and walk through every season of life together. Most importantly, we want everything we do to point people to Jesus Christ and help you grow in a deeper relationship with Him. Whether you’re new to church, searching for a church home, or looking for a place to grow in your faith, we would love to welcome you into our family.

What To Expect

OUR HISTORY

SMBC was founded in 1978 by a man who moved here with his family with the desire to reach the Framingham/Natick area with the gospel of Jesus. Our first service was held on September 10, 1978, and began meeting in the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge in Framingham on the Natick line on Route 9. Our position there allowed us to reach out into both Framingham and Natick communities. From there, our meeting places changed a few times, until we eventually bought our own building and property. In 1985, SMBC moved to Bridges Street Extension, which has been our home since.

For over 40 years, SMBC has faithfully proclaimed the gospel of Jesus. To God’s glory, many have come to know Jesus as a result. And still today, this continues to be the core of who we are.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to know Christ and to make Him known. We help lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to reach Framingham, Boston MetroWest and the world by making disciples one person at a time. We seek God to spread His gospel message through His disciples to and from Framingham all around the world.

OUR VALUES

We value Christ-centered expository preaching, Christ-centered worship, Christ-centered relationships, and Christ-centered prayer.
